President Obama plans for a longer time

It has always been a bad idea to try and make education much better than it is by simply giving American more money to work with. That is why Obama told Matt Lauer on “Today’s” “Education Nation” that what we now is an schooling reform. The audience that Obama was hoping to get to was the stay-at-home moms and dads. He said that educators have to be more responsible for the schooling of students which means extending the schools year.

The problem won’t get better by incorporating additional cash

Obama told “Today” his opinion. He said that “when you the statistics,” it is obvious there has not been any change with the money off approach. Spending per pupil has gone up within the last 20 years although a result per pupil has gone down. The president did point out that funding is helpful occasionally. Funding to get up-to-date textbooks for schools helps a lot in some schools. The small amount of support it gives is not much. That is because what is really needed is schooling reform.

Better educators that teach for a lengthier school year

The teaching profession will not be as wasteful with the agenda the president has for an schooling reform. Instructors need to shape up if they aren’t protected by unions anymore. Mr. Obama did not specify how much longer American children should remain in schools (there were references to an additional month), however he did point out to Lauer that students in the American education system spend less time in the classroom on average than kids in “most other advanced countries.” Instructors aren’t efficient in the classroom. If they were, it wouldn’t be a problem that they do not have as much time within the classroom.

The ‘Race to the Top’ plan

The Obama administration’s ongoing “Race to the Top” initiative, which rewards schools that show the greatest commitment to education reform, will distribute $4 billion in funding. Obama said that the “status quo in which one-third of children are dropping out,” won’t be any of the educational facilities that are getting cash. Teachers’ unions must be amenable to change and willing to comply with more stringent standards of instructor evaluation.

”Race to the top” involves hiring great teachers, a commitment to ongoing teacher schooling and instructor training are all essential. Becoming successful in schools depends on more than just the educators. Parent involvement will aid drastically. Fostering good study habits and showing kids they care are vital tasks for which parents must be responsible.
